SaskWatch Research would like to take a moment to thank all of our members for choosing to donate their survey earnings to the incredible non-profits and charities listed on SaskWatch! You have made a real difference to many Saskatchewan residents who rely on these organizations.
Worthwhile organizations like Moose Jaw Humane Society!
As a community-focused organization, we encourage our SaskWatch members – and other Saskatchewan residents – to tune in to the Moose Jaw Humane Society “Paws of Pledge Radiothon” this Friday, November 5, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, live on Golden West Radio and Country 100.
MJHS does fantastic work for their community. Here is what they had to say:
For the love of animals! That is why we host our Paws for Pledges Radiothon each year. We rely on the support and devotion of our community to help us continue the work that we do, caring for the animals that call our shelter home for an undetermined amount of time. Once again, we thank our good friends and supporters at Golden West Radio and Country 100, who will be at the Moose Jaw Humane Society on November 5, 2021, broadcasting live on the air from 6 AM – 6 PM.
This year has been a roller coaster for us. It seems that we have had so many animals that not only needed a safe place to lay their heads while they waited for their forever families but also required life-saving surgeries. These surgeries are emotionally and financially taxing.
We have seen cats and dogs with legs were so severely broken they required amputation. There were two kittens with eyes so severely infected that they had to be removed (9 days apart). Our supporters and we believe that all lives matter. For this reason, our community has been able to come together and donate to save these innocent lives, and we are forever grateful for that support. These emergent surgeries drain our financial resources and require consistent support from animal lovers like you to continue saving lives.
Time is so crucial for shelter animals. Whether it is the time waiting for the perfect family to adopt an animal, or the time needed for a mamma to raise her babies in a foster home, your donations give the gift of time to many desperate animals. Our foster mammas also need time. They often arrive pregnantly and need a quiet/loving home to wait for their puppies or kittens to arrive, followed by an additional eight weeks remaining until the babies are old enough to be adopted. We are so grateful to our loving foster families who open their hearts and homes to these lost souls. The shelter provides our fosters with everything they need, from food to veterinary supplies, which is possible because of your generosity.
There are so many stories, and it isn’t easy to decide which to share. These are just a few examples of where your donation goes, what your donation does and the lives that YOU change forever. Never underestimate the power of one person. Every gift has the potential to save lives.
“Thank You” are two simple words that convey the gratitude the staff and animals at the MJHS feel every day. Because of your generous support, we can help those who cannot help themselves.
